Mark Zamin is the founder and President of FIRST Emergency Management & Response Ltd. A graduate of York University's Emergency Management and Disaster Planning program, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a former member of the Alberta Energy Regulator’s emergency response team, Mark has deployed to major oil & gas incidents in the province of Alberta since 2012. His knowledge of emergency Environmental Protection Orders (EPO) and legislation can only be gained through full immersion in incidents. Mark’s leadership and skill at bringing order to chaotic situations makes him invaluable to your next incident. He also brings all his experience of development and design, facilitating and evaluating emergency exercises to the table. Mark has intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the legislation that guides industry in emergency response, planning and compliance. His auditing and evaluations of industry’s emergency response plans (ERP) gives him the expert knowledge required to navigate the government regulations and legislation for the benefit of our clients.
